It really ought to be. Excellent song, popular song.

Ok, first Kimbra song for the hottest 100. Think it's going to be a great year for her.

I was thinking the same thing, earlier.

it's sold a lot and won a lot of awards, so I wouldn't be surprised

Predictable number 1, but that's because it's entirely the appropriate choice.

Well... unless (like me) you don't like it very much.
Over half the songs I voted for (however half-heartedly) ended up in the list, which is unusual for me:
#76: Redcoats - Dreamshaker
#71: Luke Million - Arnold
#63: Foo Fighters - Rope
#60: Joe Goddard - Gabriel
#30: Calvin Harris - Bounce {Ft. Kelis}
#25: Kimbra - Cameo Lover
Edit: Just had a quick look through the archives and had to go back to the 2002 Hottest 100 to find a song in the #1 spot that I like (Queens Of The Stone Age - No One Knows). Ten years. I am obviously a fussy bastard.

The last two tracks on Korn's new Path of Totality album (actually I think they're technically bonus tracks on the special edition) - where they start to go a little crazy:
I like to think that 'Fuels the Comedy' is actually intended as comedy; it certainly sounds manic enough. And 'Tension' is just an awesome song; possibly my favourite on the album.

Listening to the new Korn album inspired me to go back to some older Korn stuff. I completely forgot about the awesome 'Woollyback' remix of Got the Life:
From 1998, wow. The nineties had such good music. My favourite decade, music-wise.

I haven't heard of them before.

Remember when big beat was the big new thing and Fatboy Slim was very popular along with it? I sort of get the same feeling about the state of dubstep and Skrillex.
According to that wikipedia article though, 'brostep' might be the term for Skrillex.

My favourite R.E.M. song of all time, from New Adventures in Hi-Fi (1996) - the last album of theirs that I really like:
(It changes dramatically at the one minute mark.)

Re: Music - What are you listening to?
When Patrick and I were talking about Michael Jackson at Ylaria's party, I described this song (from 2001/2002) as basically being his last hurrah:
I actually quite like this song! At the same time, you can't help but notice that with the hat, lighting and camera angles, they're mostly hiding his face (oh dear). And obviously it gets pretty silly towards the end.

Arcanum has one of my favourite game soundtracks ever.
You can download a 320 Kbps copy of the soundtrack here. It goes beautifully in games like Morrowind, Oblivion and (probably) Skyrim, I've found.
